It occurred to me that I have two kinds of people that know me. There are those I work with and socialize. They know me on the outside. Then there are those that know me through my poetry and commentary, who know me on the inside. Both only see what I’m willing to show. Both have intimate information from close proximity; one to body, the other to mind. Who’s to say who knows me better? The words that mean the most to me come from people I can’t see. I’d sooner call them friends because of the who they know as me. I try to be real, writing deeper than my skin. Even when I’m only putting lipstick on a pig. Not that I’m disingenuine in person, I’m sincerely shy in an obnoxious diversional kind of way. I’d rather never have to choose between the two, as both sides make up the whole. LGR(C)2/9/18 |

Having divisions is natural, Miss Lori...as natural as breathing. An apple pie can be cut in half or as many pieces as you like. Each may possess their own unique shape, but no matter, they're all apple when the chewin' starts. ...just bein' Bluesy |
