Fair to middlin' of nowhere

It’s too dang early in the morning,
but here i sit drinking coffee at 2:45.
I know it is nerves…
They are cutting the carcinoma
out of my nose in a few hours.
And if that weren’t bad enough,
I just know they are going to want
to check my body for suspicious spots.
I have issues.
The idea of my imperfections
being inspected is as unpleasant
as the thought of the surgery.
Shaving my legs like I was
going on a date
to prep for inspection
was a pain.
Literally.
I’ll be fine when the time comes.
I have issues.
I have anxiety issues.
I will be fretting until then.
If the biopsy hadn’t been
so uncomfortable.
I wouldn’t be so concerned
this is going to hurt me.
It shouldn’t.
My Dentist can put half
my face to sleep
and I don’t feel a thing.

natural reaction Lori.
I just spent six weeks in the hospital and I know where you're coming from.
I found that I was psychologically anxious over many tests but they ended up saving my old hide.
I'm sure you will be just fine because the people treating you are genuinely interested in helping you and they are very understanding. I know you know that but sometimes it just helps to have repetition for emphasis.

Wish you the best.

Everyting went off without a hitch. They got it all on the first cut and they didn't hurt me. I don't know how many stiches I got but at least I don't have a big hole or need a skin graft. ~L
