Her paper dolls stare down at me from the shelf
asking in their way...for a match

His blue patterned bedspread seems to pull itself tight
while Thomas the Tank Engine’s face begs to smile

Toy trucks now litter the floor, the dust having long settled
and the breeze that once was is no more...

This really tugs at my heartstrings as I read ~ Time flies fast...Children grow up so quickly...and sometimes good-byes come at the most unexpected time....
