it was the sixties
a flower child and I were discussing
what the revolution was about
we agreed it was about new morals
as we spoke
her eyes intently searched me
when I got up to leave
she spoke and her voice
was as whisper fresh as was Eve’s
before the fall
I obediently sat back down

Many rebels looking for causes back then. There were also interesting conversations such as your JerryPat. I recall the deeper I inhaled, the more interesting the conversation.

You managed to encapsulate the entire decade in your short poetry.

Thank you so much, Bluesy. I didn't smoke the weed even back then. Tried it. All it did to me was make me hungry and sleepy. They all told me sex was more fantastic when you were on the weed. Hah! I told them they would have to wake me up for it, and the sex wouldn't be too good. I'd probably pass out on them. Guess I was just allergic to the smoke. Thanks again for a great comment.

I wish I could say been there done that,but that era passed me by while I was still in my own country..did read or saw movies about them, so I'm not totally out of touch..
