Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I could use a little snow
just to watch the flakes
come falling down.
It is so peaceful
to watch the white
dance it’s way to the ground.
It makes its soft shhh
as it muffles out other sounds.
The drab gray sky
has a white washed world
beneath it.
Everything looks fresh and clean.
I could use a little snow right now
just to watch the flakes
come falling down.

It's not far away, Miss Lori. Keep your cocoa simmered.

I recall two pale-yellow yard lights that lent just the right amount of luminance that would reflect on the snow and catch the flakes as they fell without disturbing the darkness of night.

Who needs Fiji in the Winter? Well...maybe Fiji would be alright.

Funny you should mention the yellow lights on the snow, that is one of my favorite things to see. The house I was born in had a lamp in the front picture window that cast a wonderful warm light that meant home to me. I get that same feeling when I see yellow widow lights on the snow. ~L

Aww! I thought for a moment or two that you were my long, lost Sis! I know now that you couldn't be her, Miss Lori. You warned me about the "yellow snow".

My sister would have encouraged me to eat it!

Must be a big Sis to do such a thing! I'm a baby sis...I'm not mean, I'm spoiled. I whine and get my way. ~L
