Captured Hands So, I ask the plant in front of me. It gurgles. Dark water runs over the pot's rim, onto the front of my pants. Yep, the front of me now looks just like you'd expect, and no amount of brushing will do anything but bring up the bone hidden beneath the mess. I swallowed the rest of my coffee, put the cup on the table. What will it cost me to blot your pants dry? I jumped, turned around saw hot-fire in Theresa's eyes, lips glistening from the tip of her tongue. And I'll kiss the booboo for free if It got burned. Crimson blush made me see everything through a pink haze - I was flustered, I felt like a 13-year old caught with his hands right where he wanted them to be, and Theresa, my wife, just laughed knowing she'd gotten to me again. wesley james beard, jr. august 29, 2017 |

A precarious predicament that appears to have had a humorous conclusion. A great story and a fun read! BTS ...just bein' Bluesy |
