I’ve always sought the corner everyone talks about,
but all I keep finding is an intimidating round circle
I vaguely recall a comfortable corner in my past
For awhile it was happy and glowed with life and love
But the love left and life kept bouncing off all its corners

If you look hard enough, you’ll find me resting
between the weeds of sorrows and the flowers of hope
Nothing more than a heap of cloth plopped in the middle
And the corners linger on the tips of my fingers...
leading me to believe that circles really do have corners

I definitely believe in "corners", my friend, and what lies behind everyone of them is what bothers me . . . Circles are much easier to see what's coming your way.
