I like Motels. The rooms are efficient and clutter free. The simplicity is the key. Decors may change. Mints may or may not be on the pillow. You may only get a bit of soap or specialty shampoos and lotion. Even the number of pillows can differ depending upon. Grandiose or bare necessities, a room is a room. It is a destination. A place to stop and take a load off, catch some z’s or watch TV. It is home base, You can order in or go for carry out. You can hit the vending machines for a quick snack, or go to Joe’s Crab Shack. You can go a million and one places or nowhere at all. You can’t imagine my thrill as waste baskets I fill and dirty towels left on the floor. I can leave it all behind me when I walk out that door. 7/14/17 |

Leave it to you, Lori, to write a poem about a motel room, and you were spot on with every line. I loved i! ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Well, I call 'em as I sees 'em, Jerry. I swear I'll write about anything! Hmmm, I wonder if that is a good or a bad thing. ~L |
