Moonlight tip~toes across the sand As young lovers walk hand in hand Fireflies skip along waters edge As true love they solemnly pledge The Nightingale breaks out in song As a Whippoorwill sings along A pink hued sunset dons the sky As promises take wing & fly Two hearts are filled with happiness Looking forward to loves sweet bliss A vow taken forever ~ more Melding them to the very core © Poet In Pink 2017 |
