A touch, a whisper on the skin Reminds her of a love grown dim Combusts to flicker in the dark Memories still hit the mark Of his caress, like strokes of heat Insinuate as her heart beats Not lost to time, those years long gone Remembers kisses cast upon Frail fingertips that lift to soothe A cheek once rounded, soft and smooth They tremble as they stroke her lips Navigate from breasts to hips So long ago they had a life He was her husband, she his wife Her hearing lost, her vision dim She hears his whispers on her skin Alison |
