Before the sun rises above the horizon. Before there are obligations to meet. When it is just me and my coffee and the rest of my world is asleep, I find peace. There is no want or need of me by man nor beast. All are content and I am free to be in service only to myself. My needs are few, A cup of coffee, creamy and sweet, and a blanket to warm my feet. A window to watch the sunrise through stained glass. I’m often given to dozing, keeping workaday thoughts at bay. Until the designated hour arrives and I have to pay the day its dues, I am peaceful in the moment. doing whatever I choose. |

PU, Many things in life are free, but you can make them come at a high emotional price because life gets complicated. I enjoy my time in the morning even though I usually grumble because it is one of the animals at the door getting me up an hour before the alarm. ~L |
