A Suffering Parable

Suppose every person upon this earth
was given one hundred marbles
to invest in members of the opposite sex
and you invested them in the wrong person,
not all at once, but as your trust built,
now that person is no longer around;
it's time to start pulling those marbles back
to invest in a new person you have found.

"In times of love lost you don't believe
you will find someone new, but you will,
or perhaps they will find you."

"Love is never lost, it is just
reshuffling the deck."

"The marbles represent percentages of your heart,
your feelings and your emotions."

I always enjoy your poetry James, but there could be an exception to the placement of those "marbles".

I have it on some pretty sour authority that all my 'marbles' are in my head. Other than that, your writing is meaningful and full of good thoughts as always.

Just out looking for the real me...
