Rain. . . Why is it always rain on those days when you feel the world is melting beneath your feet. When the darkness just got darker and everything you believed, you loved . . . is so much goo trying to bring you down. Why is it always rain, outside - inside - in your soul and running down your cheeks to spatter hopelessly against your dreams, drowning them in agonized screams. Why is it always rain, rain that washes nothing away . . . . . . © wesley james beard, jr. april 29, 2017 |

Ahhh . . . Those last four lines, my friend, says it all to me. You put this poem together precisely the way it needed to be put together. I loved it. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Had I arrived first, I would have replied as Mr. Bolton did. The last four lines (and the subsequent 'raindrops') stand as a most profound closing. Excellent concepts. Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here... |

Ah Jimmy, you did it again! Pulling on the heartstrings and tying them up precisely, as only you can my friend. ~L |
