The last touch of you was fleeting the moment it started. It's lasting impression upon my lips fading within seconds while I understood the fealty of it all. Sudden response to desolation. Neither a glaring rendition of my souls temperance nor the failing face to which I gave. Neither is my time with you, so off I go, your memory fades to black, like the memories of those before. I will twitch in resistance to your forgotten call, glare past the windows to the vibration from your meaningless text. I came within a kiss of stupidity. I know this game well, for I am deft at it, or well being, was. Yet I am aged, to a degree I have learned my heart and to salvage it, protect the shards of it left. The answer within is always within ones question of worth, as mine is of a value surpassing your purse. My heart is mine, my soul of this earth with devine solace I climb the winds to nights of stars transcending their own light. Watch yet again as you lay your head down tonight and wonder why I have gone. Simplicity of grandeur as to release my burden while I harvest my prize, happiness. |

Michael G...This has an eerie tone to it, but your words pull me into the depths of someone that I once new. Enjoyed reading your words and feeling like I was reading something not meant for my eyes...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |
