Lately I’ve been thinking- That’s a dangerous thing to do. Evaluating choices, And the things that I’ve been through. Asking, “Which way do I go- Where do I head from here”? And, “Can things really be as bad- As they first appear?” I know all the questions- Not one answer can I find... The one I do not wish to face Keeps coming to my mind. I think of bad decisions- And the damage they have wrought- A haunting voice within my heart- “You know it’s all your fault!” All my fault...the lives I’ve ruined- All my fault, the harm I’ve done. All my fault...nobody wants me- All my fault… What I’ve become. This sad refrain will haunt me- Which my sinful actions bought.. I cannot escape that haunting voice- “You fool! It’s all your fault!” |
