Hardened. Her body and heart have watched miles of time dissappear behind her. Maybe this story is just like a lot of others. Can you feel her holding back? So many tired stories to tell and they dance wildly to the unsteady beat of the echo of her past. Letting it out collects the broken parts of her and they slide together along the darkness of the pit where she banished them, beginning regeneration like monsters from movies that can't be killed. But there is danger too in holding it in, ignoring and trying to forget. Buried and rotting things have a scent after all and it's best to tend the grave to kick at the still bones with careful feet to make sure they stay dead. "How much is real? So much to question |

Oh this is beautiful in its darkness, Jenn. I love the way you ended it. Definitely have to keep some things dead. Your pen seems to be stirring in a little of that old magic. Much enjoyed. Michael |

Star, Thank you. I have always tried to face things that have happened in my life. This was mainly because I didn't want my damage to cause someone else pain. I don't know how successful I've been at this though. Now I've figured out a part of my past that I never truly dealt with. So I write it out here because most of the time (anywhere else) people mistake examining and processing for dwelling. There is a difference. "I know this love will tear me to pieces |

Paul, Thank you. The good or bad definitely is up to who is doing what. I consider it a good thing that I have the outlet of writing. It has saved me many times throughout my life so far. "I know this love will tear me to pieces |

Sky, Thank you. I have always been obsessed with metaphors and I work hard on them. I've always been told I don't seem to be getting to a point when I am talking so if I can get there when writing it feels like I've accomplished something. "I know this love will tear me to pieces |

Micheal, Thank you. The darkness doesn't always feel beautiful when it's flowing, but at least there is poetry to give it a makeover. Keeping things dead can be difficult when triggers are trying to break down the doors. The magic seems to come in, have its way, and then stomp out. J., Thank you. I love the thought of "tweaking your bones". I take this as a high compliment, and it has given me an idea. When those stories get loose they can wreak havoc on the present if I don't get control over them. Part of me wishes I had written more of them down and part of me is glad I didn't.
