Bite size pieces of imagination Dripping down the chin of mind Embracing this abysmal creation Oh, wondrous reinforcing time Persistent moments strolling by Feedback of a storm that branched Clear fresh visions of summertime Crunched thru darkness with friendly hands Diluting a quiet depth that once was I Oh savor the premise of tradition Wrapped around your golden ears Shedding a soulful sky’s ambition Into the depths of overnight tears That embraced and kept us close in memory Gathering songs which roughens hands But keeps afloat a sea of treasury With lectures that swallowed all our plans Weaving humanity’s persuasive haiku Like a witch pruning a tutor’s application Some tropical bayou in humid July Where crocs lay still with sturdy fixation To devour this endless mountain of stone but I smile a mile of fearless bare feet Snuggling close to this frontier called home for we will always walk this endless beach |

"To devour this endless mountain of stone but I smile a mile of fearless bare feet Snuggling close to this frontier called home for we will always walk this endless beach" First off I love your rhyming pattern. But overshadowing even that this poem takes on the past in a soulful, wonderful belief concerning what may, or may not have happened. Enjoyable reading to be sure! I am happy you settled back home for whatever was to come. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

JerryPat, thank you for reading and understanding....for many years now, I've felt there is even purpose in all the bad that happens to us, and some bad is not always by choice....but it happens just the same, from which we learn and walk on into tomorrow's a bit broken perhaps, but, stronger and hopefully wiser. |

quote:So many poems within this poem, wonderfully crafted with great skill and intuition. I'm especially fond of this one I quoted LeeJ. You'll get no 'protests' out of me...only accolades. Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here... |

Always warms that special place inside, when I read you my friend - If I could only find the way to express myself as do you . . . Ah well, you make it sound so much better than I could anyway . . . Always enjoy you . . . j. |

LeeJ., Great to read you again! You had some killer lines in this. You hooked me with your first two, and I loved the fearless bare feet line. You have always been a rocketeer of imagery, shooting it so quickly, it spirals around me. Enjoyed, `misc |
