Discrimination is taught, and then racism is fought, Trust in each other dissipates as we conjure up the past, Love gives way to anger and hate, and in it we marinate, Man-made armaments fill our skies, once a quiet night, Turns into a mini-battle field that was once a peaceful home, It is not one person against the next, it is one thought against the rest, We quiet down over time as that is the remedy, Only to rise on news of some tragedy, We can commence to understand, but the lessons fail to pass down, From generation to generation somehow it gets erased, The cycle repeats, and people will resist, Tolerance will build up once more, until hurt and anger take over, Then there is a call to the masses to the raise the awareness, While most grow tired and weary, wanting to continue to live, Until someone encroaches on our way of thinking and belief, Only then, we join the fight to seek some relief. I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality. |

You've said a lot here. This seems to be a paralyzing situation for many. Everyone knows something has to change. That something should be done. And yet it never seems to happen. I will probably be back to say more. Very pressed for time tonight apologies. Glad you see you voicing your opinion on this topic though. |
