I'm reading a lot about frustration From people forced into isolation About how much they miss the hugs And the touch of those they love How they never got to say their goodbyes Or a final kiss from those who've died When the grief wells up inside As the tears fall from their eyes And they realise the tragedy Of those who died alone Because they didn't have the empathy To simply pick up the phone Are you going to be another one Who waited until they had gone? If you dont get in touch before it's too late It would be such a shame As you self recriminate Do you really have to question why When you only have yourself to blame Because you weren't there for them When the time came to say goodbye. ... Beautiful piece my friend, for a perfect world. A little harsh for those, who for reasons of their own, can't meet the standards being set. No offense mean by my comments - just lived and known observations. j. |

Point taken. It kills so random and so swiftly. My perspective is more like getting in touch with people before I die, not them.I believe it will be a miracle if I survive this pandemic. ~L |
