With the day's dawning and when falls the sun You'll find me there hoping that I'll be the one To hie my way over to those distant parts To find a way into her far distant heart Sing now of Springtime, oh sing now of rain Sing to me friendship, hardship and pain Sing how she dances with nary a care Sing of the Lady with wild auburn hair Over the darkside with eyes of the sea Does she stand windswept waiting for me Or will our love falter before it can start Wary and watchful o'er oft broken heart Sing now of Springtime, oh sing of the sun Sing now if ever I will be the one Sing how she dances with nary a care Sing of the Lady with wild auburn hair Up comes the green through the last of the snow No more to wander I must to her go Through the flat prairie and mountainous harm Until she's once again found on my arm Sing now of Springtime, oh sing now of mirth Sing of renewals, beginnings and birth Sing how she dances with nary a care Sing of the Lady with wild auburn hair Alicat What don't kill me will eventually. |

What an upbeat poem, and all for that lady with the wild auburn hair . . . ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

As many 'sings' as Aerosmith and the title reminds me of "The Girl With The Flaxen Hair" by Debussy, but it reads well. Not to worry Ali, everything reminds me of something. The world has gone full circle, I think. Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here... |

Really nice springtime melody. Love this song in your heart, it's so wondrous and indeed...a many splendored thing for sure. Been awhile since I've read your work and I'm so glad to have found your poem here tonite. |

Great poem/song! I love auburn hair (a very romantic color) when I turned 30 I dyed my waist length hair auburn. ~L |
