Azure Pale chrysalis feels the warmth of Spring’s early sun These past months your life protected from storm and frost What beauty stirs beneath your plain but fragile coat Do memories live or die as your life transforms Until this day to emerge and then your wings unfurl Slowly black to brilliant blue you now appear A blue so pure no sea or sky could ever match Yet surpassed by the attraction of your eyes azure The tulips of pale pink the forming of your lips Your silken hair the sun blushed hue of blondest wheat So sweet a smile a promise of the summer fruit The butterfly wings then like your eyes just flutter And do you both dance a dream of mid-summer night The unrivalled beauty of each that I compare |

"Do memories live or die as your life transforms" Beautiful sentiment and wonderful question. If memory survives, is it faces it attaches too, or essence? Some things move a being so deeply I don't think they can ever be forgotten, even through such a wonderful transformation. |

Seems like a long time since seeing/reading you last, my friend. And you certainly haven't lost your touch. Much enjoyed, j. |
