7 October 2017 Little wasp with wings of gold, oh what stories for me untold and what glories little wasp, bold, in your heart’s core ease you must hold. In top food-chain fold I may be, but no wings of gold are there for me to fly in weather hot or cold as free as free as free can be. I’m just a horrid human old. Little wasp do you see me? Your minuscule legs and body systems are my wondrous privilege to list in the things, little wasp, I adore in you. I wish so hard you could know and love me too. Have been in this spot before...when a butterfly landed on my arm while working one day. Quite sure it wasn't even aware of me, and I did nothing to enlighten it to the fact I was there. Very much wanted to let it know just how much I appreciated the visit though. |

Thank you for your very interesting reply, Michael. I, too, have had that wonderful experience once, of a butterfly landing on my hand. |

One of our minds is missing something. I dare say, probably mine. These are thoughts that never cross my mind. “Old?” never! Mature is the word! |

Thank you for your kind words, JL. Lovely to see you back. No, he (or she) didn't land on my nose, but I have a poem about a little waspy friend who once alighted on one of my ears. ![]() |

Owl - I'm that wasp who landed and prompted your wonderful poetics. So with gold wings and a loving rap on your chin, I say many thanks and "Here's looking at you kid". Namyh |
