There are so many, many things I wish that I could say… Compel you to believe them- But, sadly, there’s no way. No matter how I struggle, The words just come out wrong- As I sit in deep frustration… I simply cannot write a song. I do not have the words or means To say what’s in my heart. Though people often tell me- The things I write are art. So, I sit here quite befuddled- As the feelings are so strong- And yet I cannot voice them- As I cannot write a song. |

Then what is the music I hear in my heart, John, that enchants me and elates me and fills me with joy when I read your poetry, if it isn’t a song? And I feel what is in your heart! ![]() |
