oh, as the years pass us by a calmness seizes my old heart I find myself standing at heaven’s door understanding that I should knock on its door I would have to step closer to it the thing is that one step will find you standing on a very visible trap door oh, but I see your face there so I make that one step I knew it I am falling, falling, falling it is dark I am afraid I feel two arms wrapped around me a whisper in my ear we are together that’s all that matters we touch the bottom instead of hellfire and damnation we are in the middle of a circus she immediately jumps atop a wooden horse on a carousel yelling . . . if you can catch me, you can have . . .
