In this world we deal with nightmares- Even when we are awake- Caution is the watchword- We live by… no mistake. But somehow in the gloaming- I make a sweet escape- Into another’s Dreamworld- From which I hope I do not awake. It’s a place of sweet caresses- Gentle words, and lines of rhyme… It brings to mind a song of long ago- “Gentle on my mind.” For that you are, milady- A princess of my dreams- But alas the world awaits me- As I waken to its schemes. So read and I will listen- Call and I will come… Where the dew of morning glistens- And a sweet love calls me home. |

Oh John, this is beyond beautiful . . . an exquisite response to my poems, 'Storytime' and another response to 'Our Dreamworld'. I love it, and may we never wake from the dreams we share. I will read to you as much as you want me to and call you whenever we are separated for a short while and delight in your return and always welcome you with love to our wonderful home of dreams. |
