In keeping with the season.. Wildfire~ She came to him on the night of a killing frost on a horse named Wildfire, moonlight tangled in her hair. He awoke to hooves thudding upon the path, the ache of wanting to be inside her, but it is the time of the witch, loneliness howls the wind, cold feet wearing wet leaves, a frozen tear.. she is long gone from this world. An October-Sleepwalk repeated always round this time of year. We'll be riding Wildfire... © Augustsky inspired by 'Wildfire' Michael Martin Murphey https://youtu.be/Jq2efolgw3g |

Exquisite...haunting and melodious. Fell in love with the Wildfire song when I was just a kid, learning what a gift to the soul music could be. It's amazing how music has the power to perfectly encapsulate a moment in time...bring you a crystal clear reflection of a previous moment in time that might otherwise, without said music, be hazy and/or imperfect. Someone once told me a haunting is a need manifested in the mind of the haunted. Of course that someone was a ghost, so what could they know? |
