4 September 2019 Why is it that children’s TV fiction is so joyous, inspiring heart-warming, clever, surreptitiously and innocently moral and educational full of toe-tapping, addictive song and music and utterly delightful - and adult’s TV fiction is violent and/or vicious and/or dramatic and/or tragic and/or at least sad and/or colourless and all the same repetitive recipe and bland and so, so, so predictable? Perhaps that is one of the million reasons for my inexplicable health though slightly dented in the last while. I have the TV on all day, partly for my animals in case I am too engrossed in my work to be conversing with them enough and to remind me of the sound of the human voices - and the children’s TV programs, in many cases, one after another, catch my attention with their adorable-to-the-point-of-loving-giggles animals and even human children and put so many happy smiles on my face and land my furbabies up with extra cuddles and my work, an extra boost and my problems, more solutions and me, a song in my heart. Perhaps more adults should watch children’s TV! Why not try it? What harm could it do? |

Thank you very much, Inspired-8, for your lovely reply. I SOOOOOO understand about your 6 cats. I have 3 grown-up (3 and 2/3 year old) "kittens" and a dogalog, and without them and their predecessors including a horse, I would have been in a lunatic asylum in a curly jacket with padded walls and no windows and the key thrown away, decades and decades ago . . . mmmm, taking all that into account, I realise I would have been a skeleton by now! Even if they are a bit surprised to hear this, please give every single one of your kittymalitties a cuddle and huggle from their Auntie Di across the huuuuuuuge waterbowl in sunny South Africa, precious angels that they are. And could you pass this message on to them - they will translate it for you if you want them to, I am sure: Meeow, meeow-meeow, meeow, purrrrrrrrrrr-meeowwwwwwwww! If you are a bit taken aback, Lori and several others (not all posting now) can tell you of messages I have sent to their furbabies. |
