one day follows the other a change of sorts we don’t change all that much we are pretty much the same as yesterday in our thoughts they stay in place people passing us by see only the outward shell of us we smile and go on our way hiding truths within we could be walking around flashing that smile thinking dark, dark thoughts and absolute unhappiness behind our eyes we might desire something . . . a lover maybe just an honest and true friend to get us out of our rut the classic smile and outward joy is many times a method to hide truth I have a feeling if we could read those falsified smiles of everyone we meet we would all go screaming back home lock the doors pull all the blinds and/or curtains turn off the lights and sit somewhere trembling and cradling our weapon of choice ©March 18, 2017 / Jerry Pat Bolton |

Yes...and the rest of us are out there thinking and feeling the same. We're all just so good at walking around "flashing that smile", that "classic smile" expressing an "outward joy" that "many times" is "a method to hide truth". Humans can be scary. Caged birds make good pets. Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here... |

Jesus Christ Jerry! That was so deeply under the radar and right on target! My new favorite. Wow! |
