09 August 2019 It is good to have made memories and to mourn them down the decades, but it is even better to have known those moments at the time. To do that, our senses need to be ever alive, awake, aware, joyous or sorrowed in perceiving the moments with our understanding, breathing them with the bones of our birth, savouring them in quivering ecstasy, listening to them with our hearts attuned, touching them with our souls on fire, bathing them in our compassionate tears of joy and sorrow and raising them up on the wings of doves and eagles. These moments abound, all around, whispering, fluttering, waving wildly like the leaves of the trees in a forest to the tune of the whims of the wind. Open your arms and gather them, hug them close, cherish them, caress them, bless them, sing them, then throw your arms wide and set them free amongst the crowds of humanity in the hopes that some of these precious flutterflies in their dance in the breeze will wing their way down on to the shoulders of those who will honour them and love them as you do. |

Beautiful, milady. Butterflies and dragon flies are indeed real. Sadly, so are dragons and pterodactyls. |

Delighted giggles, John. How many dragons or pterodactyls have you met? They are very friendly if you talk to them nicely! Smiles. |

Many. But they were disguised as people and walked on two legs. |

Lol, too, John. I am happy to hear that. Thank you, too. It is my pleasure (meant, not just as a polite reply). ![]() |
