I wonder if I ever cross your mind, dear. And if I do, I wonder how you feel. Do you wonder where my travels took me- And do you question if our love was real? Do you smile and look at those old pictures? Or did you trash them many years ago? Do you recall the time we spent together, It's been over forty years, I know. Forty years and miles and miles between us- Wrinkles and grey hair have took their toll- The feelings I still hold are of a youngster, Although the mirror says I’m growing old. If you think of me, regard me gently- The life I’ve lived has been a sad old song- I wouldn’t call you if I had your number, This is my way of saying, “I was wrong.” |

Too bad we can't see things as clearly when we are young but better to realize we were wrong while we still can. |
