Chasing Yesterday By Paul Wilson Chasing yesterday on the winds of tomorrow Trying to return to the past looking for you Memories of you haunting my mind all the time Clouds gather on my journey looking for a clue Wasted my youth on things I’d rather not repeat Wanting the easy way out the piper we must pay Illusions delusions conclusions made in haste Dreams of tomorrow caught in web of time today Chasing yesterday… remembering time we lost Winds of tomorrow erase pathway thru sky Destination shrouded in mystery of time What we did in the past we can never deny You left this world we know in the prime of your life It was a cloudy rainy day the kind you love Tears of sorrow washed away by your tears of joy Falling from my heart and from the heavens above Fleeting vision caught in dream a chance encounter Walk with me thru the memory of yesterday Soar thru the heavens and stars of eternity Heart to heart we are joined forever and a day Another day of chasing yesterday alone Memories of you on the winds of tomorrow Turn back the hands of time to happier days To happy memories we shared from long ago Who am I to tempt the hands of fate chasing time Looking for yesterday and memories we shared Let the hands of time reverse their movement today You always said I was the only one who cared If I had but one wish in life to make I would Wish to spend the rest of eternity with you Till then I will spend my life chasing yesterday Searching for the life and memories shared with you Copy Righted 5-1-2019 ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

A lot of emotion blossomed in this place. A lot of love. Many of the 'best" people I've known in this life I met right here on these boards. The magick of this place will live in the hearts of those of us who experienced it till the end...and in our words as well. I chase yesterday here often as well. |
