20 May 2017 This morning, hand in hand, we wandered through the quiet magnificence of your city, its edifices gold in the morning sun the quaint olde-worlde pub wrapped its bronze and copper welcome around us as we chattered into each other’s souls over lunch the afternoon led our meanderings into the comforting rustic countryside of grey stone walls and greens and yellows and blues and then your rainbow-splashed English country garden danced its last year’s joys for us Tonight, high in the black velvet sky amongst the night’s secret sparkle-dreams, I float above you, in ecstasy, on the silvered waves of the mesmerising music you wrote for me. |
