Looking in the mirror, takes me back in time. To days before the gray hair, and all the worry lines. To days when I was footloose, wild, and fancy free. But the heavy hand of time has made a wretched wreck of me. A cowboy, and a drifter, a fool by any name; Trying to get my trophy in the Loser’s Hall of Fame. Love them fast and leave them, hearts broken by my lies- Then one day I turned sixty, much to my surprise. I have a lot of memories, a lifetime’s worth in fact- And an awful lot of living, in my lifetime I have packed. And now I’m old and lonely, that’s just what I deserve- The cost of striking out, when life throws you a curve. |

60 is sure an eye opener, and I enjoyed your candor. |
