Bitter cold got nothing on you. Your artic heart is pounding ice through your veins. Once warm as springtime, your season changed. Like a tree in winter whose sap has drained to roots safe beneath the ground. Your wooden emotions are safe and sound. I was once your sunshine that thawed that cold hard heart. But only for a season in time. Too soon your words grew short and your looks held frost. My warmth was lost as your ice broke us apart. LGR(C)2/11/19 |

I've heard it said emotions can dry up...but never seen an example of it so vividly portrayed. ouch! |
