My awesome sleeps soundly naked in my bed. My awful sits in an old sweatshirt with angst and indigestion at 2:00 a. m. My awful wants to question and berate, as long as I’m wide awake. I almost cleaned the cat box, but, my awful had me wait. Went to the kitchen for yogurt to calm my burning guts. Food is always good for soothing emotional hurt. My awful is like an old movie I’ve seen a million times. The sad parts still get to me, I know all the lines, and how it always ends. My awful calms itself with resignation it defends. My awful appeased, I can focus on finding sleepy in a pill I believe in deeply. I debate on waiting for drowzee, to coax me back to bed. I decide to take myself on ahead and let it meet me on the pillow. I schooched my awesome over and crawled my awful in. If drowzee showed up I’ll never know. Awesome was up and attem’ at six-thirty making me a cup of coffee just the way I like it. Then she sat down to write this. LGR(C)1/4/19 |

Waking up with "Awesome" beats waking up with "Awful" every time, Miss Lori...right? My "Awful" 'bends steel with his bare hands'. My "Awesome" straightens it out again. He can 'leap tall buildings in a single bound' too! But he never lets the guards see him.  ...just bein' Bluesy |
