So many ducks on Christmas Day I can't count them, Drakes, momma hen, chicks, they're all gems. A brilliant blue sky up above, It brings to mind eternal love. It feels like spring-time of the year, Everything's blooming, not austere. Such a minor thing to behold, But it is as precious as gold. Years ago when I lived down your way, Metairie mostly as far as living, but much time spent far down the bayous - - - I remember lots of similar days . . . you brought them back to life. j. |
