Four or five years ago someone placed a rock in front of my door. Someone had painted it yellow and wrote on it, ”Find Your Happy.” I never discovered who placed it there. This short poem celebrates the thought behind the rock and its message. Forget the things which make you sad, Instead concentrate on your eternal self N’er accept that which is unacceptable Keep your eyes sharp and straight ahead ©December 23 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

I love that idea of the rock. I thought of you today when I hung the quilted ornament I made with your poem on my tree this year. M |

What a wonderful find at your front door, & wise words from you Jerrypat. Too bad you didn't find out who left the 'happy-rock'. Enjoyed.. Sky~ ~Don't Quit Your Day Dream~ |

I love the idea of the happy rock ~ May have to try that sometime. We need more simple gestures like that in the world. Loved your wise words of wisdom also Jerry ![]() |

Lovely poetry, dear Jerry. If the rock you discovered was water-smoothed, a female left it at your door. If the rock was craggy, then it was left by a man. I always have time for you... |
