Those that haven’t experienced it don’t get it. It doesn’t make sense and they can’t relate. So how do I tell you how I’ve been? How do I articulate an all consuming lack of motivation, the pervasive guilt over things undone? There is no explaining intrusive soul cringing thoughts, or how anxiety can have a hay day with your mind and body. Dread becomes the verb reverberating in your head. How do I describe the subsequent subtle seduction of sleep? It is all quite boring and stale confined in a prison of your own conjuring days, weeks then months at a time. I need to get out of this crippling hell. But I can find no wind to fill my sail. LGR©3/18/17 |

Loved this ... really nailed it! Very well put and there shouldn't be any misunderstanding by anyone. Well expressed/described my friend. I can really feel your/my pain. j. |

Bless your heart Jimmy. It is always good to hear from you and knowing you can relate makes me feel better in a sad-for-you kind of way. My therapist said March is the hardest month for people with depression, nobody knows why. Thanks for commenting. May you have an unexpected bright moment that makes you smile. ~L |

Just the sound of January, February and March are depressing to me. They even have an ugly appearance. November and December are tolerable and all the rest sound and look good to me. It seems that people with depression never really get over it. They're either medicated or die in one way or another. Meds lift the shroud of darkness but can't remove it. When the money is tapped out, down it comes. Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...please! |

Lori Lori Lori....you are telling it like it is for sure. Thank you for never sugar coating the reality that is life. No one can truly understand the individual battles we wake up to and fight every single day. I've pulled up my boot straps more times than I can count which doesn't change anything save for the fact that I am stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. I'm so happy to read you. Be good to yourself Lori. |

P.U., You make a good point. As for myself, for as much as I may wish to get over it, all I can do is hold on to those that love and need me, hope for joy, and pray I go in my sleep when its my time to go. Granted, sooner than later due to my depression induced unhealthy lifestyle. Thanks for commenting. ~L |

Blues, I appreciate your comments. It is not my favorite thing to write about, but sometimes I have to write to get around it. Thanks again for making me feel special. ~L |

No, I cannot relate, Lori, but I surely can commiserate to the nth, and hope fervently that this hell you find yourself in will soon, very soon pass you by and never return. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

I'm doing better, Jerry. I appreciate your concern. I think writing that was like lancing an abscess and I've been doing better ever since. ~L |
