Every time you see a long truck Think to this girl with the long hair Every time we speak about Paris Think to this girl who told you yes. Every time you see Depardieu Think to this girl with the soft eyes Every time you think of your mother Think to this girl in the solitary charm Every time you go to the cinema Think to this girl that you will see again If one day you only think of her Forget sweetly this gentle demoiselle. |

Yann, Sometimes I wonder if I'm reading you right or if I have missed something in translation. Then I go back with a different mindset as I read that is not so literal. It is only then that I give myself the opportunity of a different more full perspective. Your poetry then becomes rich with texture and nuance. ~L |

oooppps Lori, your comment makes full sense, i am too lazy to make a poetic translation from poems i write in French, may be i could stop to write in English, and let the readers read french, it would be more faithful to the spirit of poetry, there is nothing more difficult that to translate poetry in a language you don't speak, i think the vest for you is to get that spirit and let grammatical away, this could help a bit to forgive me yann |

Nothing to forgive Yann, It wouldn't be as rich, it wouldn't be as wonderfully you if it was in perfect English. ~L |
