As Summer Fades |

The summer sun lets out a sigh As it basks in the blue of sky With summers end she starts to weep As all things prepare for a sleep The leaves on the trees whisper low For soon their colors they will show They'll dangle and dance in the breeze As if flying on a trapeze Seems like summer has just begun Now sadly it is almost done There goes the fishing by the lake Farewell backyard barbeque steak Good-Bye summer she's on her way But she'll be back another day Hold her memories in your heart For the short time you'll be apart © Poet In Pink 9/ 2018 |

Pinkswimsuit, This poem is as sweet and pink as cotton candy and you! All your work has a "fresh air" feel to it, even your blue lines do too. Thanks for sharing your precious heart!~L |

Yeah, gonna miss the back yard barbecue especially, and the fishing and the breath of fall air . . . heck I'm gonna miss it all! But winter does bring it's small pleasures too, but not quite like Fall, and Spring. Much enjoyed, j. |

Yes indeed, fall is falling . . . Winter raises it ugly, tortured head trying its best to freeze dry us. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Gorgeous stuff, very well written. I miss the summer already and though I like the autumn I don't like winter very much anymore. I am a boy of summer, I was born then. It's in my bones. I'm currently writing a song/poem about the changing from summer to fall and your lovely piece reminds me to get back to it. Enjoyed this. |
