Flower In A Field |
P.U Stinkenbaum Member Posts 388 No Fan Of Exhaust Fans |
In a field near an old wooden house, in a meadow near a road, once grew a flower It was a flower of the rarest kind Small, yet big But the flower died Why? I will tell you It was a small gift, but could make great things happen Still, it died because there was no one who would nurture it Yes, in a field near an old wood house, in a meadow near a road, lies a flower of the rarest kind Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...please! |

This poem sends wondrous waves of neglect . . . That is never a good thing. That old house called to mind my grandparents house. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Thank you JerryPat2 for looking further. It sounds like you relate to the meaning of my poem. This was the house that I grew up in. If you do relate, than I'm sorry for what you had to deal with. One may find the strength to overcome, but you never forget. Best of this life to you Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...please! |

This immediately brought the old adage to mind, "If a tree falls in the forest with no one around, does it make a sound? i.e. If a flower is never seen, can it be called beautiful? My sentiment? of course it can, cause I think I relate quite well to that flower. "It was a small gift, but could make great things happen Still, it died because there was no one who would nurture it" This right here says it all. Nicely done...and a slightly belated welcome to PiP |
