Smile Me Another Memory II

I once asked God
to ‘Smile Me Another Memory’ . . .
I guess I was too presumptuous.
Instead, He took another away.
And I buried it,
just the other day,
right next to the first one
He stole.

And now,
I just don’t know what to say –
Faith is not a tangible entity.
It’s incorporeal, ethereal,
and far too obscure
to account for the Memories
I’m losing, and the pace
at which they are being
lost.

‘Smile Me Another Memory', God.
But for Faiths sake . . .
please don’t take another

away.

Jimmy... I read both in the order in which they were written and got your message loud and clear un like someone else that replied that chose to ridicule you

hi, jwesley, this is very sensitive, it can make think of serious damage too, when there is illness, this is a precious poem
