I go to the Doctor today. I’m not looking forward. She will be disappointed in me. I was still too high on my A1C. She tells me to walk at lunch, I don’t. She tells me to walk at home, I don’t. She tells me to eat right, I try, I can, then I can’t, and I don’t. Why? Insufficient motivation. I have both the Depression and the Diabetes working against me. So my therapist assures me. There may be light at the end of the tunnel. The Doctor is referring me to an Endocrinologist. Or maybe this is the beginning of insulin. Knowing all that and risk of stroke and heart attack and going blind, amputations… won’t keep me toeing the line. I want to be fit as I sit in my trusty chair on my round to it. |

Sorry to hear about your "Insufficient motivation." I walk every day and have for quite awhile. Just walking has helped me immeasurably. Wish you could get into it, and I believe all the rest will come around ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (04-26-2018 11:00 AM).] |

Yep! I agree with Jerry. Fix the motivation and you'll likely fix everything else. Don't rely on doctors to fix everything. ...just bein' Bluesy |

Jerry, I used to walk and it did help a lot. Just need to get back into the swing again. ~L |

I have been working on the motivation thing for a while now. It is complicated. Progress is slow but I think things will improve this summer. ~L |
