Without Words The morning comes Like so many before And I am empty Of its pleasures If my strength could, Just push it back Push the brilliant curtain, Into the dark Into the dreaming Into my heart The day is so eternal Congregations of the silent Voices without words Voices without touch Voices of the souls Trapped in shells Of crowded loneliness Just a breath away From the bliss The bliss of laughter The bliss of meaning Just a breath away from each other In the night lives The memories of All their faces The soft kisses The whispered meanings Spoken without worry Spoken in the kisses Spoken without words The love of before now Of other moments Of other times Of other ME's I gather up the night For its pleasure For its need, Cause it still speaks Without words To a lonely heart.
