Monday always arrives uninvited to the Sunday diehards begging for just a few minutes more of blissful oblivion. Rising slowly to the inevitable, they grind their gears into motion. Auto pilot steers them through coffee and early morning traffic to work. Work’s good morning is mundane, a comforting sameness in the routine. The desk is covered with remnants of Friday waiting to be finished. Monday’s is gaining momentum. Yawning interrupts conversations. Necessity picks up the pace with caffeine powering the moves. Alertness ambles in fashionably late, just in time for break. Leaving the impression it is going to be a very long day. LGR(C)2/19/18 |

quote:In the workaday world I'm sure you're not alone here. When it was my turn, I didn't have a desk all the time, but there were "remnants" all about, just the same. Your cleverness in wordplay always makes a good read, Miss Lori. I do hope the day goes slow for you, though. Slow days make for a long life. So don't rush too much...k? ![]() ...just bein' Bluesy |

The only rushing I'm doing today is trying to get to the end before I fall asleep. I have a light work load today so it will be a challenge... ~L |
