Evening Forest Dreams Far, far beyond the vexing world of men, these ‘endless’ hills are laced in mountain- forest mist and painted by vanishing twilight and a clear moon rising. This sylvan stream is barely seen, whispering its mysterious secrets of deepest Time and Nature’s truths. Even the willows have ceased their evening dance and infinite serenity settles on this windstill woodland world. Here, in the glorious 'now,' we are left to stir the cosmos with only our finest dreams. --- b. e. adams (7/6/2014) Several folks have pretty well convinced me that 'word painting' may be an inescapable fate ...[and perhaps, what good is any poem if absolutely no one reads it?] |
