All my life I have searched for someone
For someone who would understand
Knowing in my heart
No one would reach out their hand

I've been traveling my stormy seas alone
Lost and scared, trying to be free
Every mountain seems higher than the last
Why can't the world just let me be

I've tried over the years
To explain how I am, and how I feel
Always searching for someone
Not a fake understanding, someone real

Then out of the blue one day
You appeared and made all that come true
Everything I ever prayed for
Was delivered to me in you

Finally a soul that understands
A hand that reaches out in the night
A truth that set us both free
We can see the light

I am no longer scared
Facing each day with a smile on my face
It's been a long time in coming
In finding this safe and beautiful place

I believe in fate and desitiny
Believe in soul-mates too
I believe everything happens for a reason
I believe all this because of you.
