floating on apple blossom currents spring fed rumor across this great land the girl of my dreams moans into the wind eyes watering as she waits for me she knows I love her her heart would stand naked waiting for me to appear her eyes glisten in mere anticipation she understands I cannot come to her she pulls herself together breathes the thought of hot hope pulls her thin sweater around her shoulders thinking of winter past in her dreams she sobs anew ©June 6, 2014 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I so understand this poem. I wrote a poem of the same title a few years back. I'm sure I even posted it on this site, a few years back, under another name, whose login details I lost with my old e.mail address. |

Thank you Redstart, and I sure understand about losing your identity on these Internet sites. I originally was JerryPat here, but because of a major problem I had to assume the name with a 2 on the end. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
