The Evening Mist Along the dark, deep forest edge, just beyond a crimson sunset and its velvet-violet afterglow, a heady calm and silence falls and rises to dance, with the moonlit shadows and shades of a thousand generations forever lost, through these ancient ‘endless’ hills beneath a sharp cosmic crescent carving out its slice of star field splendor as it has some billion times before. This place is from another world of immortal Deep-Time dreams. Suddenly somehow another Spring has passed; and here one comes to know our lives are the evening mist. --- b. e. adams (6/2/2014) |

Last line is the wake-you-up kicker, Bruce. Descriptive and magical are your thoughts and words. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Thanks so much JP, Martie, and Ida !! (I live amid these 400 million yr. old magical/mystical 'endless' mountains and the forests and come from 1500 or more years of Celtic ancestry ... it all has its powerful effects on one!) |
