nothing is scared
everything is pillaged, deceived
and for sale
the grinning skull of death
fans the very air we breathe
despair eats right down to the bone
why are we surprised
if we lose hope

Good food for thought in your ending question.
I immediately thought to myself "Advertising"!
I'm beginning to to think they are as bad as lawyers, politicians and network news. They all intentionally skew our view of reality to suit their agendas. We have to teach our children that commercials lie. (too)
